STBI Aluminum Brackets

Description

This 2° STBi bracket set can be used with the B6 Screamer, B6 Screamer XL, B7, B8, B9 and B10 chairs. They also fit on the side-mounted versions of the standard B6-, B6 XL- and W-model seats, if made with the additional backrest trim. The distance between the holes for attaching the seat is 29 cm apart, which is usually standard with manufacturers of racing car seats, but with a 2-degree tilt to perfectly fit the sides of Tillett seats. The STBi bracket system is designed to be hidden under the seat to provide a minimal footprint, this helps with installation in narrow and limited cockpits. The STBi brackets are made of 5 mm thick, black powder-coated aluminum, with a rim profile that helps prevent the legs from protruding above the front mounting point. The brackets allow the chair to be tilted, raised and lowered using the various combinations of holes and slots. Thanks to the lower slots in the horizontal part, they fit on the Tillett STRi and PTRi seat adjustment rails with a gap distance of 315 mm. They also have a 300 mm gap option, so the STBi can be used on top of the factory Mazda Miata MX5 runners from the NA Mk1 and NB Mk2 Mk2.5 versions of the car. Please note that we do not recommend using seat adjustment rails in a race car, as they are intended for road use only. The optional aluminum "Pegged spacer kit" can also be used herein to reinforce the front slots in case of an accident. One pair of STBi weighs 1.2 kg
