Concept Racing fuel swirl pots are designed to be installed in fuel injected cars where fuel starvation can be an issue due to cornering G-force. The swirl pot maintains a constant fuel supply, minimizing fuel starvation and helping to eliminate unwanted air in a vehicle's fuel system, thus reducing the chances of fuel pump failure.

Fuel is typically supplied to the swirl pot by a low-pressure pump from the main tank. The pot then acts as a reservoir of fuel, which unlike fuel in the main tank, is unaffected by cornering forces, thus eliminating fuel starvation. The swirl pot then supplies the high-pressure pump and injection system.
