{"id":79010,"date":"2025-01-18T09:19:02","date_gmt":"2025-01-18T08:19:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hoogstra-autosport.nl\/?post_type=product&#038;p=79010"},"modified":"2026-03-05T13:16:17","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T12:16:17","slug":"blackline-peugeot-106-205-ma-helical-lsd","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.hoogstra-autosport.nl\/en\/product\/blackline-peugeot-106-205-ma-helical-lsd\/","title":{"rendered":"Blackline Peugeot 106\/205 MA Helical LSD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Applications:- Citroen AX Citroen C2 Citroen Saxo VTR Citroen Saxo VTS MG ZR 105 Peugeot 106 (MA Box) Peugeot 205 (MA Box) Helical LSD Advantages:- Equal rotation speed to both wheels Torque distributed according to traction Minimal service requirements - no clutches Quick response compared to viscous LSDs Soft and progressive engagement, low noise Easy to control PTO and drift Gears and body manufactured from 8620 alloy steel Direct replacement in standard differential Blackline Helical LSDs - How They Work The Blackline helical LSDs are torque biased, that is, they distribute torque between the wheels, loading more torque to the wheel with the best traction, improving performance and handling.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Especially in low-grip situations.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"> The helical gearing controls the distribution of friction within the LSD.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">When torque is applied to the helical gear, it creates force that pushes the gear into the differential body, creating friction.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Increase in torque increases thrust which is directly proportional to the amount of torque.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This allows the Blackline LSD to handle significant traction imbalances even under severe power conditions, as would be the case when exiting a high-powered corner.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">But at low torque conditions, the LSD can differentiate quietly and smoothly, making the differential very suitable for normal road driving.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The Blackline LSD uses the popular parallel shaft helical gear configuration optimized for even load distribution.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">They are designed with a torque bias of 5:1, meaning that if one wheel loses grip, the wheel with the most grip can receive five times as much torque as the wheel that is slipping.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">However, five times zero is still zero, so all these spiral LSDs work best when both wheels are \"planted\" and some grip is still available on the slipping wheel.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz JpY6Fd\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In practice, this is rarely a problem because there is always some \"drag\" on the slipping wheel, but some drivers skillfully use the left foot brake to partially block the spinning wheel.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"> Note - Helical LSDs work especially well in conjunction with modern anti-lock braking systems.<\/span><\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toepassingen:- Citroen AX Citroen C2 Citroen Saxo VTR Citroen Saxo VTS MG ZR 105 Peugeot 106 (MA Box) Peugeot 205 (MA Box) Helical LSD Voordelen:- Gelijke rotatiesnelheid naar beide wielen Koppel verdeeld volgens tractie Minimale servicevereisten &#8211;
